Hi there,
I have just launched a new Chat-Room for the Chart-Storm. I expect it will be a valuable addition — particularly useful for Q&A discussions, timely updates between the Weekly packs (especially during times of heightened volatility and macro/market events e.g. now), as well as a venue to compare notes with your fellow subscribers (and some very smart people subscribe to the Weekly ChartStorm!)
There’s already plenty of Q&A discussion underway since launching yesterday (see example below), but on my agenda for the Chat-Room is:
Live Q&A discussion on Sunday nights (to talk through the latest weekly pack)
Posting additional charts (e.g. those that didn’t quite make the cut for the 10 charts, but are otherwise still noteworthy and interesting)
Suggestions + Requests/Submissions from you :-)
Hope to see you join us in the Chat!
p.s. you need to be a subscriber to join the Chat — basically it’s another value-add as part of the paid service (and I fully expect the Chat feature will significantly raise the value of a ChartStorm subscription by adding an extra dimension to the service)
Refresher — But What is the ChartStorm anyway?
If you are new here, or are still on the fence about a paid subscription, I thought it would be useful just to provide a refresher on what exactly is the Weekly ChartStorm, and why it’s worth considering a subscription…
>>> here’s the latest edition Unlocked for your Review
I will tell you a bit more about it below, but I feel like the best thing to do with this sort of thing is just show you what you get…! and it should fairly quickly make sense whether it’s something you’re going to find useful or not :-)
Click below to access last week’s full report (unlocked for your reference)
As you can see — it’s a carefully handpicked selection of 10 charts, clear commentary and conclusions + bonus chart/theme/idea mini blog at the end. I also supplement it with charts and insights from my global investment research firm Topdown Charts.
Basically it’s a good and easy way of keeping up with the market outlook.
I review hundreds of charts each week, bringing you only the most interesting and useful charts …and making sure to include a good mix of short-term/timely updates on risks and opportunities, as well as longer-term perspectives and deposits into your knowledge bank :-)
I do the work so you don’t have to — I serve as your filter on a noisy world.
p.s. you can subscribe Monthly (US$10/month) or Annually (US$95/year) — if you are unsure you can try it out with a monthly subscription at first and cancel at any time or switch to annual payments later.

ChartStorm Origins + ChatRoom Aspirations
As noted in my first post in the new ChartStorm ChatRoom (see snapshot below) — I started the “Weekly S&P500 ChartStorm” as a quick weekly set of chart-Tweets on Twitter back in 2015 [and FYI — I have *never* missed a weekend since then, even on holidays!]. It’s a passion thing, I love it.
My goal with the Chat-Room is to bring back some of the banter and back-and-forth from the early days, as I believe it was helpful, interesting, and entertaining for ChartStorm followers back then… and should be all the more so now.
Click through to see that post and join the discussion — but if you are not quite convinced check out an interesting use case for chat below, and further down I have included some paid subscriber feedback to help give you confidence in taking a subscription.
The ChatRoom — An early Use Case
I had a question from a paid subscriber earlier today in the chat room asking about the outlook for the loonie (CADUSD) given the Bank of Canada is cutting interest rates (as it happened I had a chart I had prepared earlier on that matter!) — while it is a bit off topic compared to the usual ChartStorm content, it is an example of what’s possible in the ChatRoom in terms of value add and discussion.

What do Paid Subscribers Think about it?
I recently surveyed paid subscribers of the Weekly ChartStorm (see full results of that survey + testimonials), and here’s a couple of charts from the results…
90% of paying subscribers think that the service is either good or very good — and would happily recommend the ChartStorm to friends and colleagues.
Most people said they subscribed for the charts, naturally, but subscribers also appreciate the commentary, and how it helps make them think + identify ideas — and expand their knowledge base.
And when I asked what changes they’d like to see, most of them basically said that it’s great and don’t go changing anything! So some interesting results, and certainly confidence inspiring if you are considering upgrading to a paid subscription.
I would also say these results are definitely validating to me in terms of what I hope to achieve with the service, and the direction I’m taking it. I expect the addition of the Chat-Room to be a major step forward in the ChartStorm story.
If you’ve read this far I just want to say I appreciate your interest and would strongly encourage you to join me on the ChartStorm journey and help keep it reader supported, aligned with subscriber interests, and long-term sustainable. With over 1000 paid subscribers and strongly positive feedback I have to believe it is something special, and genuinely helpful for investors.
Furthermore, I believe we are at a critical moment in markets — and I am convinced the ChartStorm (+especially the ChatRoom) will be helpful in navigating the coming months and years in macro and markets.
So, let’s go!
